Manu Joseph, whose latest book is Why the Poor Don't Kill Us is a journalist, novelist and screenwriter. Among his novels are Serious Men and The Illicit Happiness of Other People. He is the winner of the Hindu Literary Prize, among others. He is also the creator of the Netflix series, ‘Decoupled’. He wrote the Letter from India column for the New York Times for several years.
