About
Kavita Kané is a bestselling author of nine novels and a transformative voice in Indian literature, known for bringing feminism to mythology by spotlighting lesser-known women. Her works include Sita’s Sister, Ahalya’s Awakening and Bhima’s Wife. A former journalist with dual postgraduate degrees, she spent over two decades in publishing before becoming a full-time writer. She is also a columnist, screenwriter and motivational speaker passionate about theatre and the arts. Born in Mumbai and raised in Patna and Delhi, Kavita now lives in Pune with her husband, two daughters and a lively household of pets.
